This fast track project schedule allowed facility to be programmed, designed, filed with local municipality and approved for permitting in less than 4 months, approximately one tenth the amount of time needed for the original facility in Hauppauge.  The shop areas incorporate a lighting design that has been installed using highly energy efficient lighting, including long lasting fluorescent high bay lighting, which is an improvement in color and comfort over the HID lights. They also provide “instant on” functionality as opposed to having to wait for the HID lights to come up to full power.
