SOLUTION
Responsible for protecting the Eastern portion of the South Fork of Long Island, the East Hampton Police Department, required additions to their facility and communications infrastructure. WFC was retained by AT&T Wireless Services, Inc. in conjunction with The Town of East Hampton Police Department to design a building that would serve the expanding needs for local mobile communications coverage as well as provide additional office space, and house critical police department communications equipment.
In addition to the site design, building design and construction administration oversight, WFC coordinated the construction, installation and relocation of communications equipment from the existing outdated tower to a new 160 ft high steel lattice tower located behind the new building. WFC’s experience in communication technologies supported a coordinated and smooth transition of the new and existing relocated Police Dept. communications equipment, as well as equipment and antennas for a total of five Wireless Carriers.
