SOLUTION

The Control Center is responsible for monitoring Verizon and New England Telephone networks, phone lines and high speed DSL and data services throughout much of the northeast United States. It provides network monitoring services for other companies as well as receiving and routing all emergency 911 phone calls throughout this region.  

WFC recently designed and managed the construction of over 42,630 square feet of interior office space including upper management offices, central LAN rooms, (4) 60-ton M.E.R.’s, executive conference centers, state-of-the-art Video Conference Centers, a central security monitoring center, computer labs, Corporate Data Center and Digital Storage Library and Dining Facilities.

WFC’s scope included space planning, creation of the Architectural Drawings, coordination of the ME & P drawings (by an outside engineering consultant), coordination of Fire Suppression Drawings including VESDA detection systems, FM2000 fire suppression systems and conventional fire suppression systems, design and coordination of the custom Control Center Computer Consoles, design of specialized lighting systems, and coordination of the security system plans. Construction costs totaled $4,089,000.
