SOLUTION

Wlliam F. Collins, AIA Architects, was the lead design professional coordinating the repack of several major facilities in order to accommodate the relocation of employees from Verizon’s headquarter facility at 1095 Avenue of the Americas. In summary, some 3000 personnel were displaced from the recently sold building. The purpose of this initiative was also to relocate 1503 of these personnel throughout Manhattan within seven primary facilities.

This complex project involved several large-scale components, including a 32-story restack of one of their properties, with multiple, concurrent, fast-tracked schedules, phased move-ins, and fixed deadlines, all choreographed and synchronized with the required vacancy of the Headquarters Building. Proper coordination, program management and dialogue was key to meeting critical path milestones.
