McDonald’s

Quick Serve Resturant

SOLUTION

WFC was tasked with redesigning the building exterior to capture the nature and attitude of McDonalds brand, while aggressively and thoughtfully value engineering the planned changes to reduce construction costs; a balance especially critical in this difficult economic climate. In addition to the interior alterations and building addition WFC designed to improve the operational efficiency of the restaurant.

Adding to the magnitude of the task was a very tight schedule being imposed on the franchisee, before a potentially much more extensive, and less cost conscious program would be imposed by the corporation. WFC responded quickly to the task and worked closely with the franchisee to thoroughly evaluate the scope and cost of each element of the design program, and generated design drawings and cost estimates to aid in the process of evaluating the cost versus reward of these elements, until a balance was struck that met both the requirements of the corporate guidelines, and the budget restraints of the franchisee.

WFC also re-evaluated the efficiency of the existing site configuration, and redesigned the parking, equipment placement, drive-thru layout, and drive-thru window placement to eliminate restrictions in the flow of the drive-thru operations while ensuring adequate parking for their dining-in customers. These improvements have the potential to both improve customer satisfaction and increase the restaurants revenue. WFC’s expertise managing such a wide variety of factors is what our clients have come to value and rely upon from our service, and has consistent strengthened our business relationships.
