SOLUTION
Over the course of many years, the Port Jefferson Power Station Boiler Building has since become replaced with smaller more modern power generation equipment. The 13 story massive steel and concrete structure is situated on some of the best real estate in town. The defunct structure stands tall on the North edge of the site overlooking the Port Jefferson Harbor for all to see. WFC was contacted by KeySpan to make the boiler building ‘more attractive’.
The result was a 54′ wide x 88″ tall open weave vinyl mesh United States Flag secured with stainless steel air craft cabling to the existing structure, that is resistant to the high coastal wind and harsh weather.
The statement presented is bold, and when boating across the Harbor, the huge U.S. Flag is proudly displayed in American fashion.
